
Teddy Bears Rain for Armstrong, Blades Beat Raiders 6-3

STUFFED: Forward Easton Armstrong was the bringer of teddy bears Wednesday in the Saskatoon Blades 6-3 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders at SaskTel Centre.
It was Teddy Bear Toss night inside the arena and the 20-year-old forward did the honours for the first time in his WHL career. 7,920 Bridge City Faithful poured stuffed animals onto the ice after the winger's goal and the electricity never faded the rest of the night. Armstrong was awarded first-star honours with a three-point (1G, 2A) performance, moving him to 32 points (18G, 14A) in 31 games this season.
Anaheim Ducks draft pick Egor Sidorov broke the internet with another highlight reel goal for his team-leading 33rd of the year. Captain Trevor Wong and Toronto Maple Leads draft pick Brandon Lisowsky assisted on the tally extending all three individual's point streak to seven games. The helper also marked the 150th of Wong's career.
La Salle, MB's own Tyler Parr reached a new career-high in points with a three-point performance. The 18-year-old forward has 16 points (5G, 11A) in 33 games this season.
Rookie netminder Evan Gardner picked up his fifth straight win with a 29-save performance. The Lake Country, BC native improved his record to 9-4-0-0 on the season.
The Blades hold sole possession of first in the WHL with a 24-8-2-0 record and have earned at least a point in 11 consecutive games.
NEXT GAME: The Blades hit the road Friday, Dec. 29th for their second meeting of the season against the Brandon Wheat Kings.
