Team USA out Plays Lancers, 7-2

Plymouth, MI - The Lancers continued on their road trip weekend to face Team USA NTDP 17U's on Saturday. Both the Lancers and USA are at the top of their respective conferences. This was the second matchup this season, as the Lancers took the 6-1 win in November. Zach Driscoll was called on to play in the net. Driscoll is ranked second among all goaltenders in the USHL with a 1.73 GAA, .939 SV%, and a record of 28 GP (18-6-1-0). Omaha still at first place in the USHL with a record of 31-11-2-1 and 65 points and are 9-1-0-0 in their past ten games.

USA got on the board in the first period with a goal from Judd Caulfield. NTDP held onto the 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

Grant Anderson got the Lancers on the board to start the second frame. It was the defender's first goal of the season. On the power play, Jack Randl found the five-hole on Cameron Rowe to get the game tied 2-2. Nearing the end of the period, USA struck again to hold a 3-2 lead into the second intermission.

USA put four more goals on the board in the final frame. USA got the best of Omaha winning, 7-2.

Zach Driscoll stopped 24 of the 31 shots that he faced.

The Lancers are now 31-12-2-1 with 65 points and still sit at first place in the USHL.
