Spokane, Wash. - Team Tokarski (Red) skated to a 5-2 victory over Team Kidd (White) in the annual Red-White Game on Sunday afternoon, winning the first Chiefs Cup and marking the culmination of the Spokane Chiefs' 2022 Training Camp at Spokane Arena.

This year's camp took on a tournament format, with each of the four teams playing each other in round-robin games and finishing with the top two playing each other for the Chiefs Cup in the Red-White Championship Game on Sunday.

The annual Don Kiehl Awards - given to Red-White Game MVPs - were presented to Berkly Catton of Team Tokarski and Blake Swetlikoff of Team Kidd for their efforts in the championship match-up. Kiehl was a long-time off-ice official for the organization and the awards were presented to the players by the coaching staff.

Meanwhile, Team Spurgeon captured third place in thrilling fashion after Grady Lane scored the tying goal with just 11 seconds left to play. Chase Harrington, first-round 2022 WHL Draft pick, then scored the game-winner for Team Spurgeon as they defeated Team McCabe in overtime.

Up next, the Chiefs kick off their pre-season slate on Friday, September 9 as they travel to Everett to face the Silvertips at 6:00 p.m. They'll play the Seattle Thunderbirds on Saturday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m.
