Mississauga – Marvin Godbolt, a two-time all-conference performer who was a four-year starter for the Horned Frogs, has agreed to forgo the 2005 NFL Draft in favour of signing with the 2004 Grey Cup Champion Toronto Argonauts. Godbolt, who finished his college career with 30.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage from his safety position, accounting for 152 yards lost and ranking seventh on the TCU all-time list, was also selected to play in this weekend's Las Vegas All-Star Bowl game. The CFL rookie has chosen to give up his spot in this game to don the Double Blue.

The Texas Christian University grad joins other TCU alums including All-Star receiver Jason Tucker of the Edmonton Eskimos and Ottawa Renegades' defensive tackle John Turntine as a CFL player. 2004 CFL MVP Casey Printers also attended TCU for 3 years. In college, Godbolt logged eight career interceptions and recorded 35 career starts, ranking in a tie for the top spot among the 2004 senior class.

The 2004 Grey Cup Champion Toronto Argonauts are North America's oldest professional football club, having celebrated their 130th anniversary in 2003. The Toronto Argonauts have 15 Grey Cup championships to their credit.
