
Tickets on sale for CFL Coach of the Year Luncheon

WINNIPEG, MB â Tickets are now on sale for the 2005 CFL Coach of the Year Luncheon presented by Canad Inns on February 24, 2005 at 11:30AM at Canad Inns â Polo Park.
Tickets are 55.00 dollars each with tables of ten for 500.00 dollars. Proceeds for the luncheon are in support of CancerCare Manitoba with a tax receipt issued. Tickets are available by calling the Bomber office at 784-2583 or visiting bluebombers.com
"CancerCare Manitoba is grateful that Canad Inns and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have come together to provide this tremendous support," said Dr. Dhali Dhaliwal, President & CEO of CancerCare Manitoba.
The event is perennially attended by all nine CFL head coaches who join in saluting the Coach of the Year as selected by the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC). The winner receives the Annis Stukus Trophy, last awarded to Tom Higgins for the 2003 season.
"This is the first time in many years that the Coach of the Year has been staged outside of Edmonton, and done so with the CFL Congress attached to it," said Lyle Bauer, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. "We welcome the opportunity to host our partners from across the League as we preview our city in advance of the 2006 Grey Cup."
