The Guelph Storm announced today that forward Tanner Richard is the Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 30th.

Richard recorded five points, one goal and four assists, in two games over the weekend. On Friday night against the Sudbury Wolves, the 19 year-old picked up an assist on McNaughton's power play goal in the Storm's 5-2 victory. On Saturday in Sault Ste. Marie, Richard had his best game of the year so far picking up one goal and three assists in the Storm's 5-3 victory. Named first star of the game, first-year OHLer recorded a point on all but one of Guelph's goals, including scoring the game winner at 18:32 of the second.

Richard is currently in a three-way tie with Zack Mitchell and Cody McNaughton for most points on the Storm with 17. He leads the team in assists (5), plus minus (+7) and power play goals (5). Scoring at just over a point per game pace, Richard has recorded four multi point games during the month of October.
