TACOMA, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance (8-7-6, 30 points) heads down to California to take on San Diego Loyal SC (10-9-4, 34 points) Sunday afternoon (3:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+). Tacoma has clashed with San Diego three other times this year, winning every matchup. The two sides met at Cheney Stadium on May 13 and July 29 with Defiance winning 3-1 and 2-1, respectively. Tacoma also beat Loyal SC 2-1 on August 14 during its first trip to San Diego this year.

Tacoma currently sits in fourth place in the Pacific Division standings with 30 points. Defiance is four points behind both San Diego Loyal SC and Orange County SC with two games in hand on Loyal SC and three games in hand on Orange County.
Following its match this afternoon, Tacoma returns to Cheney Stadium for a midweek contest against Sacramento Republic FC on Wednesday, September 22 (7:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
