Muskegon Lumberjacks News Release

MUSKEGON, MI.--- Having achieved the league's premiere overall record of 55(39-13-3)81-points and first place atop the standings, the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the International Hockey League continue to reap a bounteous harvest spawned by their on-ice prowess and winning ways this season.

On this date, the Lumberjacks, in conjunction with the International Hockey League, have announced that prolific-scoring center TODD ROBINSON has been heralded as the MEIJER / IHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH for the month of February 2010.

ROBINSON, 31, is in his 11th pro season overall and his ninth under the employ of the Muskegon franchise. The Trail, B.C. native orchestrated yet another brilliant month of point-producing prowess and proficiency as well as remarkable milestones makings. Playing in all 12-games for the Muskegon February schedule, the 5-8, 175lb sleek, silk, satin center topped his team in scoring by collecting 18-points on 3-goals, 15-assists with 8-PIM and +2 rating. "T. Rob" registered points in 10 of the 12-games for the month, delivering 5-multiple point games, one 5-game point streak, one 4-game point streak and team-best 15-assists. His monthly accounting also included 1-PPG, 3-PPA, 2-SHA, 1-GWG, 1-FG, 1-UG, 1-ENG and 30-SOG. He was also 1/2 in the OTSO with the 1-goal his team's GWG in the extra session.

During the month of February, he attained another major career milestone when he recorded his 1,000th point in a Lumber-jacks 8-7 victory in Flint on February 21st. Moreover, it was during the past month that he overtook his linemate Robin Bouchard to, again, regain the top perch as the IHL's leading scorer. Robinson captured both the league scoring crown and MVP awards last season for a second time his extraordinary career, having initially accomplished the fabulous feat back in the 2006-07 season in Muskegon.

For the season, he has amassed an astronomical 82-points in 54-games on 18-goals, 64-assists with 32-PIM. His 64-assists are 20-more than all of the IHL while his 24-PPA also top the loop by a considerable margin. The Lumberjacks team captain has authored 4-GWG, 4-FG, 2-ENG with his 4/7 OTSO/PCT of.571 ranking as third best in the league.

Also prominent in his February dossier was his recently completed 16-games point scoring streak which represents the longest achieved in the IHL thus far this season. In that span, Robinson was the artisan of 26-points on 4-goals, 22-assists.

This is the Lumberjacks second individual honor of the week as another Muskegon center, Brian Bicek was named Meijer / IHL Player of the Week.
