West Sacramento, Calif. - Josh Donaldson hit his first home run of the season, but Tucson proved to be too much, rallying for five runs in the sixth inning, beating Sacramento 6-4 at Raley Field on Saturday.

The River Cats jumped out on top 1-0 in the third on a home run from Stephen Parker. Donaldson's home run, along with a run-scoring double from second baseman Brandon Hicks, put the Cats on top 3-0 after five innings of play.

The Padres answered back with five runs on six hits off River Cats starting pitcher Bruce Billings in the sixth inning. Vince Belnome did the most damage with a three-run double, ending Billings' night in the sixth after Tucson took a 5-3 lead. The Cats pulled to within one in the sixth, but were unable to score again. In 5.2 innings pitched, Billings allowed five earned runs on seven hits, increasing his ERA to 4.61 on the year. Andrew Carignan worked 2.1 innings with four strikeouts and one hit. Evan Scribner went one inning allowing one earned run on one hit. Parker led the River Cats going 3-of-4 with two runs scored.

Tucson starting pitcher Jorge Reyes went five innings, giving up four earned runs on seven hits, however, the Tucson bullpen kept Sacramento scoreless through the final four innings. Two T-Pads hitters recorded two hits - Everth Cabrera and Belnome, who finished with three RBIs.

The two teams return to Raley Field on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. for U. S. Bank Sunday Funday. Sacramento will start RHP Brad Peacock (1-1, 3.86 ERA) against Tucson starter Matt Palmer (1-2, 7.80 ERA).
