T-Birds Training Camp Schedule Released

Seattle, August 20, 2007 - The Seattle Thunderbirds announced their 2007-08 Training Camp Schedule today.

The T-Birds two-day Rookie Camp will start on Friday, August 24. There will be Rookie Camp scrimmages at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. These scrimmages are at Kingsgate Ice Arena in Kirkland and are open to the public free of charge. T-Birds Main Camp will start on Monday, August 27, and last until Wednesday, August 29. The T-Birds will have three main camp scrimmages which will take place at Kent Valley Ice Centre. The scrimmages start at 7:10 p.m. each night and are open to the public free of charge.

The T-Birds open their exhibition schedule at the Everett Silvertips Pre-Season Tournament at the Everett Events Center (EEC) on Friday, August 31, at 11 a.m. against the Chilliwack Bruins.

Seattle plays the Everett Silvertips on Saturday, September 1, at 7 p.m. at the EEC.

The T-Birds finish out the tournament against the Spokane Chiefs on Sunday, September 2, at 3 p.m. at the EEC.

The T-Birds will then travel to Kennewick for the Red Lion Hotels' Preseason Tournament on Friday, September 7, to face the Tri-City Americans at 7 p.m. at the Toyota Center.

The team is back in Kennewick to take on the Portland Winter Hawks at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, at the Toyota Center.

Seattle's only home exhibition game is on Saturday, September 15, at 5:30 p.m. at Kent Valley Ice Centre against the Silvertips. Tickets for the only exhibition home game are currently on sale.

Season tickets are currently on sale for 2007-08 at KeyArena. Fans purchasing 2007-08 season tickets will have the highest seating priority for the 2008-09 season as the Thunderbirds open the new Kent Events Center. Single game tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 29, at 10 a.m.
