Syracuse Signs Pushor

Syracuse, NY (August 9, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Jamie Pushor to a two-year contract.

Pushor, 31, appeared in 17 games with Syracuse (1g, 4a, 24 PIM's) and seven games with Columbus (2 PIM's) last season prior to be traded to the New York Rangers on January 23, 2004 for an eighth round selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Pushor appeared in seven games with the New York Rangers and 14 games with Hartford (2a, 21 PIM's) last season.

Pushor helped the Detroit Red wings win the Stanley Cup in 1996-97. In 517 career NHL games with Detroit, Anaheim, Dallas, Columbus, Pittsburgh and the New York Rangers, Pushor has tallied 13 goals, 44 assists and 648 penalty minutes. A native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Pushor was originally selected by Detroit in the second round, 32nd overall, in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft.
