Colorado Springs, Colo. (Tuesday, August 25, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC have a chance to move back to the top of the table in the USL Western Conference with a win on Wednesday.
The Switchbacks will be back on the road, this time taking on the Real Monarchs SLC.
After a disappointing finish in Seattle last week, the Switchbacks are looking to turn things around.
"This is not the time for more talking, it's time to put up or shut up," said Switchbacks FC Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "Real Monarchs are out of the playoffs, so they have nothing to lose. They are a team that is not going to stop. So, we have to have confidence, be solid defensively, and play our game."
This will be the fourth meeting between the Switchbacks and Real Monarchs SLC in the USL's regular season. The Switchbacks have won the last three matches. The Switchbacks also beat the Real Monarchs during the U.S. Open Cup.
Currently in the USL's Western Conference, the Switchbacks (12-8-3, 39 pts.) are in fourth place, just three points off the top, while the Real Monarchs (2-13-8, 14 pts.) are at the bottom of the table and out of the running for playoffs.
