Myron Samuel Named USL Player of the Week for Two-Goal Performance in S2 Debut

SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC 2 forward Myron Samuel has been named to the Week 23 USL Team of the Week for his two-goal, one-assist performance is S2's 3-2 win over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Wednesday, August 19. Samuel becomes the third member of the Rave Green to earn the honor in his debut, following midfielder Pablo Rossi and Darwin Jones who earned the honor in Weeks One and Two, respectively, of the 2015 USL season.

S2 returns to a week of training before travelling to face Real Monarchs SLC at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah on Friday, August 28 (6:00 p.m. PT / live-streamed on SoundersFC.com). S2 defeated the Monarchs 1-0 at home on June 25. The Rave Green currently sits in third place in the USL Western Conference, three points behind leader LA Galaxy II. The club needs five points from the remaining four matches to clinch a postseason berth in its inaugural season.
