In that match, Rodriguez made 11 saves, including a penalty, in route to being named the USL Championship Player of the Week becoming the second-youngest player to ever earn the award.
"Abe has been tested in USL throughout the 2019 season and has proven he is ready to be a full-time professional," said Senior Director of Soccer Development & USL Team General Manager Brian Crookham. "His performances to date and the maturity he has show gives us the confidence that there is much more to come from a goalkeeper so early in his professional soccer journey."
Rodriguez was previously on a USL Academy contract with the Switchbacks.
