Switchbacks FC Player Romario Williams Called up for International Play

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today that Romario Williams has been added to the Jamaica Men's National Team squad for its upcoming games in the 2023/24 CONCACAF Nations League.

Williams has previously made 15 appearances for the Reggae Boyz, scoring two goals and one assist in his international career. Jamaica is set to face Honduras in Jamaica on Friday, September 8 at 7 p.m. MT. The side will also face Haiti at Independence Park in Kingston, Jamaica on Tuesday, September 12th at 6 p.m. MT, a contest which could see Williams square off against fellow Switchbacks teammate Duke Lacroix, who was previously selected in the Haiti squad.

Williams has arrived for national team duty and is anticipated to be absent for the Switchbacks' upcoming game against San Antonio FC on Saturday, September 9. The 29-year-old could return for Colorado Springs' contest against Orange County SC on Friday, September 15th.

A new signing this past offseason, Williams has made 24 appearances for the Switchbacks this season, recording 10 goals, and three assists. Williams recently hit the milestone of 50 regular season goals during his career in the USL Championship.
