
Switchbacks FC Get Back to USL Play Friday

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Wednesday, June 17, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC are back on the road heading to St. Louis.
Switchbacks FC will take on St. Louis FC on Friday night at 6:30.
This match will get Switchbacks FC back into USL play. The team played on Tuesday in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup against the Colorado Rapids, but fell to the MSL team 4-1.
"Now that the U.S. Open Cup is out of the way, we look forward to concentrating on league play and to continue our good form," said Switchbacks FC Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "Hopefully, we can go into St. Louis and get a positive result."
This is the first meeting between these two clubs. It will be the only non-conference match this season for Switchbacks FC. Switchbacks FC are part of the USL's Western Conference, while St. Louis FC is in the league's Eastern Conference.
Currently, Switchbacks FC (7-5-0) has 21 points in USL play and St. Louis FC (3-3-5) has 14 points. This is also inaugural season for St. Louis FC.
Switchbacks FC are excited to be playing this match in St. Louis. Ed Ragain, Owner of Switchbacks FC, his family, and Head Coach Steve Trittschuh all have family ties to the St. Louis area.
