TOP TEAM: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre has vaulted themselves into first place in the International League with a win over Lehigh Valley. The RailRiders have a half a game advantage over Omaha and Iowa who have played one more contest on the season.

ONE-RUN WINS- The RailRiders last night won a one run contest. It was the fourth one-run win the team has had just two losses. The team has now recorded eight saves on the season.

RUMFIELD RAKES- T.J. Rumfield recorded three hits last night in just his second Triple-A contest. He also batted in two runs. Rumfield was traded from PHI along with LHP Joel Valdez to NYY for RHP Nick Nelson and C Donny Sands.

DOUBLE TROUBLE- Yesterday the RailRiders turned five double plays, their most on the season and the most in recent memory for a single contest. It even included a strike him out, throw him out situation for Carlos Narvaez in the second.

SAVE SITUATION- The RailRiders have now recorded a Minor League baseball high eight saves after going 0-5 in that category to start the season. Three relievers have two apiece. The New York Yankees lead MLB with ten total saves, including eight from Clay Holmes.

PITCHING PRESENCE- The RailRiders starters and relievers have combined for a 3.66 earned run average in the first 16 games of the season. It is the leading pitching staff in the International League. SWB has allowed just 57 earned runs, the least of any team. Starters hold a 4.12 ERA with relievers boasting a 3.38 ERA.

WILLING IT- Yankees #8 prospect Will Warren is set to make his fourth start of the season tonight. He has incremently gone deeper into his outings, now up to a full five innings on 82 pitches. In his last outing he allowed three runs on four hits. He struck out a season high eight batters. But, allowed three solo home runs.

DUANE'S WORLD- Reliever Duane Underwood Jr. lowered his ERA to 1.86 last night after a scoreless frame. He allowed just a hit and struck out a batter. He's moved his scoreless streak up to seven and two thirds clean innings.

GROSHANS GAME: Jordan Groshans had the game winning hit last night, a two-run homer in the eighth inning. It was his first on the season and now has seven runs batted in. Groshans upped his average to .250 after a three-hit night.
