Sutton Placed on Disabled List, Campos Joins Bees

SALT LAKE CITY (June 26, 2010) - The Salt Lake Bees announced today that infielder Nate Sutton has been placed on the Disabled List with a lower back strain. To replace Sutton on the active roster, infielder Jesus Campos has been promoted to Salt Lake from the Angels' Arizona Summer League team.

Sutton, 27, has appeared in 62 games for the Bees in 2010, hitting .278 with 12 doubles, four triples, two home runs, 20 RBI and 10 stolen bases. In 2009, he appeared in 24 games for the Bees, hitting .250 with four doubles, 10 RBI and three stolen bases. He also appeared in 104 games for Double-A Arkansas last season, hitting .276 with 20 doubles, three triples, two home runs and eight stolen bases. The Santa Cruz, Calif. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 24th round of the 2004 draft.

Campos, 22, has appeared in two Arizona Summer League games for the Angels in 2010, batting 3-for-7 with one double. Selected by the Angels in the 24th round of the 2010 draft, he played two seasons at Cal State Los Angeles where he was named an All-CCAA honorable mention selection as a senior. Campos is a native of South Gate, Calif.
