First Star Preston Lounsbury was flying Friday night at the Avenir Centre, leading the Wildcats over the Saint John Sea Dogs 5-2 before 3,800 fans. The 2nd-year centreman scored the game-winning goal shorthanded just 39 seconds into the second period, and set up three more tallies for an impressive 4-point night.
Moncton posted its fifth straight victory to raise the season record to 10-3-1 after 14 games. Yoan Loshing added two more goals (11th, 12th) with others to Miles Müller (6th) and Vincent Collard (8th). In goal, Keegan Warren stopped 27 shots for his 3rd win of the season - all against the Sea Dogs - while the Wildcats fired 35 at Sea Dogs keeper Pat Leaver.
