Atlantic City Surf News Release
Somerset, NJ- The Surf figured that the Patriots used up all thier hits in game-one of the series, so game-two would be a breeze.
The Patriots won the first game 9-3 behind Mitch Meluskey and Edgard Clemente''s fine outings, But the Surf came right back in game-two with a 8-1 win.
Juan Thomas hit two home runs, his 249th and 250th of his career, and Jason Jacome gave up only two hits in five innings. What makes Jacome''s performace so great was that he pitched the first three innings of yesterday''s game before it was canceled. How many times does a starter pitch, and dominate in two straight games? Not ever!
The Surf split the double-header and will play the third and final game tommorow. The team holds tightly to a one game lead in the south division.
