Suns Walk-Off against August to Snap Losing Streak

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (58-40) ended a season-long five game losing streak with a 5-4 walk-off win over the Augusta GreenJackets (48-49) in ten innings at Municipal Stadium on Saturday night.

Right fielder J.R. Higley went 2-for-4 with the game winning RBI single in the extra frame. Justin Miller went 1-for-5 with an RBI double and scored the game winning run after reaching on an error. Billy Burns and Bryce Ortega each collected three hits in the game, Ortega with an RBI.

Suns' starting pitcher Brian Rauh delivered 5.2 innings in his season debut, allowing three runs on five hits, no walks and four strike outs. Righty Richie Mirowski (3-0) earned the win with three hitless innings, allowing just three walks (one intentional).

GreenJackets' reliever Kevin Couture (2-5) took the loss, allowing the winning run after entering for the tenth inning. Starter Aldalberto Mejia pitched 6.2 innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on nine hits in a no-decision.

The Suns and GreenJackets will conclude the series on Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. when RHP Taylor Hill (9-5, 4.88) takes on Augusta's RHP Paul Davis (4-4, 3.73).
