Suns To Showcase Pitching Pink Jerseys Saturday At The Greene Turtle

HAGERSTOWN, MD -- Hagerstown Suns players and team mascot Woolie will be at The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille on Saturday at noon signing autographs and showcasing the limited-edition pink jerseys that they will be wearing for their Pitching Pink game that evening.

The event is open to the public free of charge, and the Suns invite all fans to bring their favorite Suns memorabilia along to be autographed. Fans can then stay and enjoy lunch at The Greene Turtle alongside Hagerstown players prior to the team's 5:35 p.m. doubleheader against Lake County Saturday evening. The Greene Turtle is located in the Stonehouse Plaza off of Leitersburg Pike in Hagerstown.

Saturday will be Pitching Pink Night at Municipal Stadium, and the Suns wearing their special pink jerseys in support of breast cancer awareness. The jerseys will be auctioned off during Saturday night's doubleheader, with proceeds going to Breast Cancer Awareness-Cumberland Valley.

A silent auction will last through the second inning of the second game, and then the jerseys will go up for grabs through a live auction that will be begin upon the first pitch of the third inning of the second game. Once the doubleheader ends, auction winners will have the chance the head onto the Municipal Stadium field, where Suns players will take the pink jerseys off their backs, autograph them, and personally present them to their new owners.
