Suns-Shorebirds Postponed Again on Friday

May 18, 2018 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Hagerstown Suns News Release

Salisbury, MD - For the second straight night the Hagerstown Suns and the Delmarva Shorebirds were postponed due to inclement weather on Friday at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury. The game will be made up at a later date yet to be determined.

Friday's rainout is the sixth Hagerstown has experience in 2018, and the second on the road. It's also the second time this season the Suns won't be able to make up a game in the series which it occurred. Friday's game joins an April 15 contest that was rescheduled for May 26 as a double header against Greensboro.

The postponement shortens the series against Delmarva to three games. The Suns will conclude this series with Delmarva on Sunday with a double header and head to Lakewood for the last leg of this road trip, playing four games with the BlueClaws. Hagerstown will play the BlueClaws at FirstEnergy Park for the first time this season before coming back to Hagerstown for an eight-game home stand that will be played over seven days.
