Suns Recall Goodwin from Bakersfield

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Suns have recalled guard Archie Goodwin from the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League.

Goodwin helped lead the Jam to win the inaugural NBA D-League Showcase Cup as he was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player for averaging 23.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in three games. Goodwin had 22 points, nine rebounds and three steals in yesterday's 105-99 victory over the Grand Rapids Drive to win the cup. The 6-5 guard scored 24 points in each of the Jam's first two games of the tournament against the Texas Legends and Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Goodwin is now averaging 19.5 points on 43.9 percent shooting, 4.7 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 31.6 minutes overall in six games over two assignments with Bakersfield this season. Goodwin also appeared in five games with the team last season and is now averaging 22.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 33.4 minutes while shooting 46.5 percent from the field in 11 career D-League games.
