JACKSONVILLE, FL - After a relatively dormant first five innings, the Jacksonville Suns' (22-23) offense awoke with a four-run sixth inning; guiding the Suns to a 6-2 win over the Jackson Generals (18-27) in Wednesday's series-opening ballgame at Bragan Field.

Jose Urena (W, 5-2) did well to limit the damage en route to his fourth win in as many starts. Urena scattered 10 hits over his 7.0 innings of work, allowing two runs (both earned) to score while striking out four Generals and walking two.

After being added to the Suns roster on Tuesday, Joey O'Gara struck out two batters in his 2014 Suns debut on Wednesday night, tossing a 1-2-3 seventh inning in relief of Urena.

Jheyson Manzueta picked up a strikeout in his scoreless inning of work, holding the Generals off the scoreboard in a clean top of the ninth inning.

Tyler Olson (1-2) took the loss in the opener for the Generals, allowing four runs (all earned) on six hits in 5.0 innings, while striking out six batters and issuing two walks.

The Generals opened the scoring in the top of the first after back-to-back two out base hits led to Leon Landry's RBI single to give Jackson a 1-0 lead in the top of the second.

The lead would be short-lived for the Generals, as Alex Burg (HR, 4) homered for the third straight game; driving a solo home run over the left field wall to knot the game up at 1-1 in the bottom of the second.

The game remained time until the fifth inning when Dan Paolini (HR, 3) led off the inning with a solo homer to left to give the Generals a 2-1 advantage.

The Suns would tie the game and ultimately take the lead after scoring four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Jacksonville received a sacrifice fly from Alfredo Silverio to tie the game at 2-2, and then took a 3-2 lead on Joe Benson's RBI single. The Suns would push the lead to 5-2 after Brent Keys ripped a two-run single into right to cap off the scoring in the sixth inning for Jacksonville.

J.T. Realmuto came down to score on a wild pitch by Stephen Shackleford in the bottom of the seventh to extend the lead to 6-2 in favor of the Suns.

With the win, Jose Urena has won his last four outings, and the Suns have won each of the last seven games that Urena has started.

Alex Burg reached base safely all four times on Wednesday, finishing 3-for-3 with a home run, two singles, a walk, two runs scored and one RBI in the win. He has also homered in three straight games, the longest such streak for a Sun on the 2014 season.

The Suns and Generals will be back at it on Thursday night, with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. ET. The Suns will send out the lefty Chipper Smith (0-0, 3.18), while the Generals are due to counter with right-hander Matt Anderson (0-2, 18.41).
