The victory ended a seven-game losing streak for the Suns, and finished the road portion of the 2016 schedule for Jacksonville.

Suns starter Patrick Johnson (7-7) earned the win, going six innings on the mound where he allowed just one run on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts. Wahoos starter Nick Travieso (4-7) took the loss, allowing four runs on five hits with three walks and seven strikeouts. Kenny Wilson brought him home on an RBI groundout to second base, then an RBI single by Chris Curley capped the inning that put the Suns in front 4-0. Pensacola's lone run was scored in the bottom of the sixth inning when Brandon Dixon hit a solo home run off Johnson.

Tyler Higgins provided two scoreless innings of relief for the Suns in the seventh and eighth innings before Guerrero worked a perfect ninth to preserve the 4-1 win.

Miami Marlins infielder and tonight's Suns first baseman Derek Dietrich was 0-for-3 and was hit by a pitch and drew a walk in his fifth game of his major league rehab assignment with Jacksonville.
