Suns Announce Roster Move

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tomorrow's game against the Mobile BayBears at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville at 7:05 p.m.

Right-handed relief pitcher Tyler Kinley has been transferred from Jacksonville to Triple-A New Orleans. Kinley with the Suns this season has gone 2-2 with a 3.96 ERA in 36 games with five saves. Kinley spent time earlier this season with the Zephyrs in June and early July, going 0-2 with an 8.31 ERA in seven relief appearances with a save.

The Suns roster stands at 25 active players, plus Derek Dietrich on his major league rehab assignment with the Miami Marlins, and a revised roster is attached.

The Suns open their series with Mobile at 7:05 p.m. Friday. Gates open at 6 p.m. for Red Shirt Friday, when fans who wear red to support the military can save $1 per ticket at the box office or donate the $1 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The red jerseys the Suns have worn for Friday home games this season will be available in a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting Jacksonville USO. Following the game is the season's final NAPA Family Fireworks. A Fan Appreciation Picnic package is available at www.jaxsuns.com. The game is presented by Gator Country 99.9 WGNE.
