
Suns Announce Roster Moves

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a series of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior today's game against the Biloxi Shuckers at Bragan Field at 7:05 p.m.
Right-handed relief pitcher Kyle Fischer has been transferred from Jacksonville to Single-A Greensboro. Fischer made one appearance for the Suns, allowing five runs on four hits during Sunday's loss to the Chattanooga Lookouts.
Right-handed relief pitcher Craig Stem has been transferred from Triple-A New Orleans to Jacksonville. Stem did not make an appearance for the Zephyrs, and with the Suns in 20 appearances this season is 1-1 with a 1.55 ERA in 29 innings pitched.
Infielder Danny Black has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to June 19, with a right shoulder contusion. Black in 15 games with the Suns is hitting .286 (14-for-49) with six runs batted in.
Also today, right-handed starting pitcher Jarred Cosart returned to the Miami Marlins after his major league rehab assignment with the Jacksonville Suns came to a close. Cosart started for the Suns on Sunday in Chattanooga, allowing a run on three hits with six strikeouts and six walks in five innings on the mound.
Earlier in the week, first baseman Michael Morse had his rehab assignment transfer from Jacksonville to Triple-A New Orleans. With the Suns, Morse hit .294 (5-for-17) with a homer and three RBI in five games in Chattanooga.
Additionally, outfielder Brent Keys was transferred off Jacksonville's disabled list, and placed on a rehab assignment with the GCL Marlins. Keys had been on Jacksonville's disabled list since the start of the regular season.
