PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Cincinnati Reds have announced the following roster changes for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos prior to tonight's game against the Mississippi Braves. C Kyle Skipworth has been reinstated from the disabled list while RHP Barrett Astin was promoted from Daytona. LHP Joel Bender has been transferred to Daytona.

Skipworth started the season in Pensacola before getting called up to Cincinnati and then played in nine games in Louisville. After rejoining the Blue Wahoos in May, he got sprained his left ankle at the end of the month. Before then, he was hitting .255 for Pensacola with eight runs, four doubles, a triple, a pair of home runs and six RBIs.

Astin has started 11 games for the Daytona Tortugas and made five relief appearances. He's established a 2.29 ERA with a 4-3 record. He's posted 61 strikeouts to go along with 18 walks and has not allowed a home run this season.

Bender made two relief appearances while in Pensacola giving up three runs in 2.1 innings of work. He made one appearance for Louisville and 22 games with Daytona to start the season.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos now have 25 active players on the roster.
