
Sundogs Place Visser on 30-Day IR, Ink Defenseman Ivarsson

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League announced Monday evening that they have placed forward Jason Visser on 30-day IR retroactive to November 15 and have signed Swedish defenseman Henrik Ivarsson.
In 13 games with Arizona this season, Visser has registered two goals, four assists and two penalty minutes (PIM). Three of his six points (1g/2a) have come with the man advantage. As a rookie in 2007-08, the Mississauga, Ontario, native averaged nearly a point-per-game with 57 points in 59 appearances. He finished fourth among rookies in scoring with 19 goals and 38 assists and was a plus-11.
Ivarsson, 24, joins the Sundogs for his first season of professional hockey in North American after spending his entire career in Europe. In 20 regular season appearances last season with the Galeen Smoke Eaters (Hlnd), the 5-foot-10, 198-pound defenseman from Goteborg, Sweden recorded one goal, five assists and 115 PIM.
