Bucks' Centomo Oakley/CHL Goaltender of the Week

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks, along with the Central Hockey League, announced Monday that Sebastien Centomo has been voted the Oakley/CHL goaltender of the week, for the period ending November 15.

Centomo earned the award for the Bucks 4-0 shutout of Bossier-Shreveport on Saturday night, where he stopped all 30 Mudbugs shots. The Bucks backstop earned his seventeenth pro shutout, and his first as a Buck.

"Sebastien Centomo has been downright outstanding for us this season", said Bucks Head Coach and General Manager Terry Ruskowski. "I'm very happy that he was voted to win this award, because he deserves it".

The Laval, Quebec native was named CHL goaltender of the week nearly a year to the day last season, on November 11, 2007.

The two-time CHL All-Star and 2001-02 rookie of the year, has put up stellar numbers thus far this season for Laredo. Centomo is currently first in the league in save percentage (.940), tied for first with 281 saves, second in the league in wins (six), and second in the league in goals against average (2.01). Centomo has one of the two shutouts in the league this season.

Centomo has a career CHL mark of 68-32-5, with the Bucks, Mississippi Riverkings, and Oklahoma City Blazers.

The 6'1, 200 pound Centomo is the sixth different Bucks goaltender to win CHL Goaltender of the Week, joining Lance Leslie, David Guerrera (twice), Jeremy Symington, Dov Grumet-Morris (three times), and Dustin Traylen.

Centomo will receive a gift from Oakey for this accomplishment.

*Bucks To Accept Peso At 10 To 1 On Nov. 20*

The Bucks will accept the Peso at 10 to 1 at the ticket window on November 20th, as they celebrate Dia de Revolucion night at the LEC. It will also be Big Buck Thirsty Thursday, where beer is $2 all night.

The holiday celebration at the LEC does not stop with just the special peso exchange rate. The Bucks will wear special Dia de revolucion jersey's that will be auctioned off after the game, there will be mariachi music, and a fiesta atmosphere all night long.

There is free parking at the LEC for all events, and the Bucks are offering a special "One Buck Dollar Menu" all season long, with five items costing $1.
