Arizona Sundogs News Release

The Arizona Sundogs (9-16-3) dropped a pair of one-goal games to the league-leading Odessa Jackalopes last week, falling 6-5 on Saturday and 4-3 on Sunday. Arizona held a 3-2 lead after the first period of Saturday's loss and an early 1-0 lead in Sunday's contest. A bright note in the losses, Arizona held the league's top power play to just two goals on 18 man-advantage chances in the two games including a 0-for-11 mark on Sunday. The Sundogs' penalty kill ranks sixth-best in the CHL at 84.21%.

Despite the two losses, Arizona sits just four points back of sixth-place Amarillo - a team they play Tuesday - with two games in hand and three points back of seventh-place Corpus Christi.
