Sundogs Adjust Roster, Add Defenseman Matt Frick and Goaltender Michel Robinson

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro announced today the team has signed defenseman Matt Frick and goaltender Michel Robinson (pronounced mih-SHELL) for the remainder of the 2010-11 season.
Additionally, the team has activated defenseman Jim Driscoll from a league-granted leave of absence and has placed Doug Groenestege on goaltender I.R. and Karl Sellan and Maxime Renaud on 10-day I.R.
Frick, 33, last played during the 2009-10 season, appearing in 72 contests with the IHL's Bloomington PrairieThunder, recording 14 assists and 32 penalty minutes (PIM).
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Frick split the 2008-09 campaign with the PrairieThunder, the Central Hockey League's (CHL) now-defunct Amarillo Gorillas and the American Hockey League's (AHL) Iowa Chops.
The 6-foot, 200-pound blue liner spent parts of seven seasons in the CHL with the San Angelo Saints, Corpus Christi Rayz, New Mexico Scorpions, Rocky Mountain Rage and Gorillas.
Robinson, 27, most recently appeared in 21 games with the Odessa Jackalopes, recording a 6-10-4 record, one shutout, 3.40 goals against average (GAA) and .900 save percentage (SV%).
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound backstop also appeared in two contests with the Quad City Mallards to start the season.
Frick and Robinson are both expected to be in the lineup for tonight's game against the Mississippi RiverKings. Game time is set for 7:05pm.
