Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

(Allentown, Pa.) - Sunday's game between the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and the Syracuse Chiefs has been shifted to 7:05 p.m. The game was initially scheduled for 5:35 p.m. but has been changed due to the threat of the remnants of Hurricane Irene.

Current weather reports expect the rain to subside by early afternoon on Sunday and the winds to secede shortly thereafter. The 7:05 p.m. start time provides more fans the opportunity to arrive safely at Coca-Cola Park in addition to both teams that will be traveling in advance of the game.

The possibility of an additional game time change or even a postponement still exists should Sunday's forecast change. The IronPigs encourage all fans and personnel to check ironpigsbaseball.com or the club's official Facebook and Twitter pages for additional updates.

The first 2,000 youngsters 17 and under on Sunday will receive a T-Shirt giveaway featuring IronPigs pitcher Scott Mathieson presented by Capital BlueCross. Immediately following Sunday's game, all children 12 and under can show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network (weather permitting).

Single-game tickets and group tickets for all IronPigs home games presented by Capital BlueCross, are on sale now and can be purchased at the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office, online at www.ironpigsbaseball.com or by calling (610) 841-PIGS.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are dedicated to providing family-friendly entertainment and are the only Minor League team to offer bubbles to fans entering the AT&T Plaza and balloons for all children exiting Coca-Cola Park.
