Uncasville (May 18) -- The Connecticut Sun announced today that it has waived rookie center Ugo Oha, and guards Anastasia Kostaki and Anna Zimerle, cutting its roster to 12 active players. WNBA teams must be down to 11 active players by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Ugo Oha was a 6-foot-4 center out of George Washington who was drafted by the Sun in the second round (24th overall). She had eight points and six rebounds in 38 minutes. Kostaki and Zimerle were guards who had played professionally in Italy. Zimerle had just three points in 22 minutes while Kostaki had three points and four turnovers in 16 minutes.
