Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils (0-2, 18-22) were held quiet at the plate on Wednesday night in the 7-1 loss to the Spokane Indians (2-0, 18-22). Tri-City's bullpen kept the Indians scoreless over the final four innings of the game.
Spokane starting pitcher Hans Crouse had an impressive outing for the Indians. The highly touted prospect struck out 12 Tri-City batters. Olivier Basabe and Owen Miller continued to deliver for the Dust Devils. The infielders each had two hits in the loss for the Dust Devils. Tri-City starter Sam Keating suffered the loss after allowing seven runs in 3.2 innings of work.
The Dust Devils will try to avoid the road sweep on Thursday night. Left-hander Omar Cruz will make his second start of the season for Tri-City. Spokane will counter with right-hander Seth Nordlin. The team will return home on August 1st to begin a five-game series against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. It will be Hero Night presented by Pita Pit.
