(Memorial Stadium - Everett, WA) - A walk-off base-hit from Everett's Nick Rodriguez in the bottom of the 10th inning helped the Aquasox even up a three-game series with Vancouver as the C's fell 6-5 on Wednesday night down in Washington state.

Everett opened the scoring in the bottom of the 1st inning when with two runners on-base, Canadians LF McGregory Contreras overran a flyball off the bat of 3B Bobby Honeyman that bounced behind him plating both runners to give the Aquasox an early 2-0 lead. Those two runs would be the only that would come on the watch of RHP Sean Wymer who went three innings allowing two hits and three walks before passing the ball off to RHP Joey Murray who struck out three over his two scoreless innings.

Vancouver brought the game to within a lone run in the top of the 4th inning with 3B Bryan Lizardo smacking a single to short allowing LF McGregory Contreras to count making it a 2-1 game.

Tough night for RHP Justin Watts as the usually effective arm struggled in his lone frame allowing three runs, all earned on four hits and a walk. The big blow in the home half of the 6th came on a hard hit single to center from LF Ryan Ramiz that cashed in Nick Rodriguez extending the Aquasox lead to 5-1.

Vancouver struck late for three in the top of the 8th and another in the top of the 9th that tied the game at 5-5 as 3B Bryan Lizardo's two-run home run in the 8th brought the C's to within a run while DH Tanner Kirwer's 8th double of the season that scored C Chris Bec sent the game to extra innings.

The Canadians managed to get a runner to third in the top of the 10th inning with just one out but Everett's RHP Dayeison Arias struck out both RF Griffin Conine and LF McGregory Contreras to keep things even heading to the bottom of the frame. In the bottom of the 10th, Nick Rodriguez would hit a ball to deep center over a drawn in outfield scoring C Cal Raleigh to give the Aquasox a 6-5 victory in extra innings.

The Canadians fall to 1-1 (.500) on the second half and 1-2 (.333) in game's that go to extra innings while Everett improved to 1-1 (.500). Vancouver wraps up this three-game series on Thursday, July 26th at 11:05am as manager Dallas McPherson sends LHP Nick Allgeyer (0-0, 3.68) to the mound in the rubber match of this three-game road series. The Canadians head into this one 3-2 (.600) at Memorial Stadium in 2018.
