Strike Force Add Indoor Experience to Secondary

San Diego Strike Force News Release


The San Diego Strike Force has signed defensive back Jericho Flowers to their 2025 Indoor Football League roster.

Flowers (5-10, 185, UNLV) joins the Strike Force for his third season as a member of the IFL after spending his first two seasons with the Vegas Knight Hawks.

In 2024, Jericho saw action in 13 games and recorded 34 total tackles, three pass breakups, and two interceptions. He also led the team with 36 kick returns for 597 yards (11 th in IFL) and two touchdowns to go with two field goal returns for 68 yards and one score. Vegas finished 2024 with a franchise-best 11 wins and earned the second seed in the Western Conference Playoffs where they would fall short to the eventual IFL Champion Arizona Rattlers.

He has signed late in 2023 season and so only saw action in two games where he recorded six total tackles, two tackles for loss, and two pass breakups. During his rookie campaign of 2022, he played in 15 games and recorded a team-high 65 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, six pass breakups, and two interceptions. He also added 18 kick returns for 281 yards (15.6 per return).

Jericho finished his collegiate career at UNLV in 2019 and earned Second Team All-Mountain West conference honors. He finished fifth on the team and 31 st in the MWC with a career-high 68 total tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery. He was third in the Mountain West in passes defended (16) and tied for 14 th in the nation in interceptions (4).

After his freshman season where he started out as a receiver and recorded 10 receptions for 147 yards and a receiving touchdown, plus 48 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground in nine games, he went on to play in 34 games in his final three seasons primarily at defensive back. In those final three seasons he totaled 181 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 27 pass deflections, seven interceptions, three fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles, and one blocked kick.

Jericho played his prep career at Hamilton High School in Los Angeles where he was a two-year letterman and helped the Yankees to a 12-4 overall record and LA City Division II title. He earned Western League Defensive Player of the Year and was named All-City Football Division II Co-Player of the Year. He also competed in track in the 400-meter dash and was on the 4x400 and 4x100 relay teams.
