Everett, WA - The AquaSox dropped the second game of the series against Spokane Tuesday night at Everett Memorial Stadium, 6-3. Josh Stowers hit his second home run in as many nights in the loss.

Spokane wasted little time putting runs on the board. The top of the first scored two Indian runs off a Jonah McReynolds double, his 8th of the year.

A half inning later, Stowers continued his hot streak with a solo blast over the left-field fence, cutting into the two-run deficit, 2-1.

Both pitching staffs hunkered down after the first inning, though. Everett and Spokane combined for only three hits between the second and fifth innings.

An AquaSox scoring opportunity finally arose in the sixth inning. After Connor Kopach walked, a Josh Stowers single advanced Kopach to third base. Spokane starter, Jake Latz then threw a wild pitch, bringing in Kopach and advancing Stowers to third base. Latz then threw a consecutive wild pitch, scoring Stowers, 3-2 Everett.

That lead was short-lived, though, as Spokane took a lead in the seventh inning that they would never relinquish. After Frogs reliever Noah Zavolas exited the game, Benjamin Onyshko inherited a tough situation. With the bases loaded, Onyshko allowed an equalizing run on the third wild pitch of the night. The left-hander then walked two straight batters and brought in the go-ahead run for Spokane, 4-3.

Spokane sealed the victory in the eighth inning the way of Austin O'Banion launching a two-run home run over the right-field fence. The game would end 6-3 Spokane.

Wednesday morning the AquaSox will host Kids Day with an 11:05 AM start as we end our eight-game homestand! Tickets are available for purchase at AquaSox.com or by calling our front office at (425) 258-3673.
