Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
Two breakout innings at the plate for the Tri-City Dust Devils (16-16) led the team to the 10-4 win over the Vancouver Canadians (15-17) Tuesday evening at Gesa Stadium. The win combined with Everett's loss moves the Dust Devils only one game out of first place in the North Division.
Tri-City did their most damage at the plate in the second inning. The first five batters that came to the plate in the inning all reached safely and would ultimately score. The team also added four more runs in the bottom of the seventh. There were a number of standouts for the Dust Devils. Justin Paulsen had a team-high three hits, Luis Asuncion drove in three of the team's ten runs and Tre Carter had a triple and scored two runs. Starting pitcher Adrian Martinez earned the win after giving up three earned runs in 6.1 innings of work.
Tri-City will look for the sweep over the Canadians on Wednesday night. The team will send right-hander Cole Bellinger to the mound. Vancouver will counter with left-hander Elio Silva. It will be Social Media Night at Gesa Stadium. Make sure to follow the team's social media accounts for your chance to win tickets, autographs and more. Great seats are available by calling the Dust Devils' front office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
