- Playoff Hockey! Toledo opened the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs with a pair of wins against rival Johnstown. Friday night, the Storm dominated the Chiefs as evidence by the shot differential of 46-16, but won a close game on the scoreboard 3-2. Saturday night, Toledo used a 3 goal third period out burst to take game 2 by a score of 4-1. Both contests saw Johnstown grab the first goal of the goal of the game.
- Keeping the shots going! In the first two games against the Johnstown Chiefs, the Toledo Storm has out shot the Chiefs 80-37. Matt Zultek and Todd Jackson each have taken 11 shots on goal in the series. In the regular season, Toledo held a 442-293 advantage on Johnstown. The Storm averaged 36.8 shots per game against Johnstown, while holding the Chiefs to just 24.4 per contest.
- Home is the Place to be! The Toledo Storm continued its dominance at One Main Street. Dating back to the regular season, Toledo has been victorious in 13 consecutive home games (11 straight to end the regular season, plus 2 playoff contests. With those playoff wins, the Storm has won 29 games on the home ice.
- The Week Ahead! The North Division Semi-Finals now switches to Johnstown for game 3 Wednesday. Toledo went 3-3-0 at Johnstown during the regular season. The Storm did win their final 4 regular season road contests, including a 3-2 shootout win in Johnstown on April 8th. However, prior to that win, Johnstown had won 3 consecutive games over Toledo at home.
