Preseason Tips Off in Chicago
The Seattle Storm tipped off the 2008 season with a tune up preseason game in Chicago on April 30 versus the Sky. While the veterans sat out much of the second half of a 46-66 loss, the coaching staff looked at the game as an evaluation of players trying to make the 2008 roster. "We learned a lot about what we need to work on," Storm head coach Brian Agler said.
Say It's So, Yo!
The Storm finished off the two-game preseason road trip on Friday, May 2 versus Sacramento. The action was exciting down the stretch, yet Seattle fell just short in a 68-70 loss to the Monarchs. "We're just trying to jell just like all of the other teams," Storm center Yolanda Griffith said. Griffith finished with 12 points and four steals in the game.
Burse To Sit Out 2008 Season
Seattle Storm center Janell Burse will miss the entire 2008 season, team officials announced. "We will definitely miss Janell but respect her decision to sit out this season," Storm head coach Brian Agler said. "I am looking forward to coaching her next season."
