
Comcast Sportsnet To Broadcast Five Washington Mystics Games This Season

Bethesda, MD - Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports television, announced today it will broadcast five Washington Mystics games this season, including four games in high definition on Comcast SportsNet HDTV. The games will all be featured during July, which will become "Mystics Month" on Comcast SportsNet.
Highlighting Comcast SportsNet's 2008 Mystics broadcast schedule is a matchup with the 2007 Eastern Conference Champion Detroit Shock on Friday, July 18, along with games against the Indiana Fever, Seattle Storm, New York Liberty and Connecticut Sun - all 2007 playoff teams.
Comcast SportsNet will also be home to the most comprehensive Mystics coverage all summer long. During "Mystics Month," the network will air a weekly Mystics feature during SportsNite at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., to bring the viewers up-close-and-personal with three-time All-Star Alana Beard, Coach Tree Rollins, President Sheila Johnson, and the entire Mystics organization. The network will welcome a number of Mystics players to Washington Post Live during "Mystics Month," as well as provide viewers with in-depth profiles of each player.

In addition, the Mystics will also be featured four times on national television, making their 2008 national debut on Saturday, May 31st when the team hosts the Los Angeles Sparks at 3:30 p.m. on ABC. The team will also be featured nationally on ABC against the San Antonio Silver Stars on July 6 and the Connecticut Sun on July 13. The Mystics also face the Phoenix Mercury June 3 on ESPN2.

The Washington Mystics will tip off the 2008 season on Saturday, May 17th, on the road against the Indiana Fever. Washington will host the club's home opener on Sunday, May 25th, against the four-time WNBA Champion Houston Comets at 4:00 p.m. Individual tickets are currently on sale on www.ticketmaster.com.
