Seattle Storm News Release

This Week's Opponents

Sacramento: The home team has won the last five meetings between Seattle and Sacramento, a streak the Storm will look to continue when the Monarchs visit KeyArena for the first time this season on Tuesday. In the last meeting on June 17, Betty Lennox scored a then-season-high 23 points but Sacramento held on for a 76-74 win. Seattle has won six of the last seven meetings with Sacramento at KeyArena, but trails 14-8 in the all-time series.

Los Angeles: The Storm enter this week's matchup in L.A. having won three straight against the Sparks, including a 90-67 win in the season opener on May 21. Sue Bird grabbed a franchise-record seven steals in the win, while Wendy Palmer added 18 points and 13 rebounds in her Storm debut. The Storm are 9-13 all-time against the Sparks (3-7 in Los Angeles).

Minnesota: Seattle has won three straight against Minnesota to close within one game (11-10) in the all-time series. In the first meeting this season, Tiffani Johnson tallied a season-best 13 points on 6-for-8 shooting as Seattle earned a 74-66 win in Minneapolis on June 14. The Storm and Lynx have been evenly matched lately, with eight of the last 10 meetings being decided by eight points or less (including six by five points or less). The Storm are 6-4 over that span.

Tuesday is 'Night of Champions' at KeyArena

The Storm will honor champions of sport, community and enterprise this Tuesday when Seattle and the Sacramento Monarchs, the last two WNBA champions, square off at KeyArena at 7 p.m. During halftime, the Storm will honor five outstanding female leaders in the Seattle community with an inaugural "Women of Inspiration" award, presented by D.A. Davidson & Co.

B-Money Posting Big Numbers
