Kearney, NE- The Tri-City Storm scored two goals in the first nine minutes of Saturday's game, and added two goals in the 3rd period for a 4-2 win over the Fargo Force. Tri-City got goals from Calvin Dybicz, Cole McWard, Joe Molenaar, and Benji Eckerle in the win. Storm goaltender Jake Barczewski tied his season high with 29 saves on 31 shots in the win. The Storm now sets its sights on in state rival Lincoln, who visits the Viaero Center on Thursday night. Puck drop for Thursday's home game is set for 7:05pm.

Calvin Dybicz netted his 1st career USHL goal at the 4:25 mark of the 1st period to put the Storm out in front. Cole McWard added another Tri-City goal at 8:46 of the of the period on a goal assisted by Joe Berg. Tri-City carried a 2-0 lead into the 2nd period. Shots on goal in the 1st period were 9-9. Fargo's Zach Faremouth scored the only goal of the 2nd period, for his 2nd goal of the season. Faremouth's goal was assisted by Mason Salquist and Dan Russel and brought Fargo back within one goal of the Storm's lead.

Tri-City outshot Fargo 7-5 in the 2nd period and carried a 2-1 lead into the 3rd period.

Less than five minutes into the 3rd period, Joe Molenaar scored his 5th goal of the season to put Tri-City up by two. The goal was assisted by Keaton Pehrson and gave Tri-City a 3-1 lead. Fargo answered back late in the game with a 6 on 5 goal from Ben Meyers. The goal was his 3rd of the weekend and 15th of the season. The Force lifted netminder Ryan Bischel once again to try to tie the game late, but Tri-City's Benji Eckerle buried his 4th goal of the season into the empty net with 14 seconds left to seal the Storm's win on home ice. Tri-City improved to 13-0 on the season when leading after two periods, and still have not lost a game when scoring at least three goals. Joe Molenaar was named 1st Star of the Game for his efforts, with teammates Calvin Dybicz and Cole McWard picking up 2nd & 3rd Star of the Game honors. Jake Barczewski improved to 6-3 on the season in the win.
