
Storm opens 2004-05 season Friday

KEARNEY â The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League will begin its fifth anniversary season on Friday night at the Kearney Event Center. The Storm will face the Lincoln Stars beginning at 7:05 p.m.
The Storm, coming off a 3-0 performance at the Buc Bowl preseason tournament, will then face Sioux City on Saturday night.
The opening weekend of the 2004-05 season will feature a special pre-game ceremony prior to Friday's game, souvenir pucks to the first 2,000 fans Friday courtesy of Wells Fargo Bank and 3,000 schedule magnets from Garrett Tires and Treads on Saturday.
It will be Wells Fargo's fifth season as the team's opening night sponsor. Throughout this week the Anderson Cup, which the team won last season as the league's regular season champion, will be on display at the Kearney Wells Fargo located at 21 West 21st Street. Fans can visit any Wells Fargo location to register for a chance to participate in the "Dash for Cash" first intermission contest.
