
Charter to broadcast eight games in 2004-05

KEARNEY â The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League along with Charter Communications announced Monday that the company will broadcast eight of the team's home games during the 2004-05 season live on Charter channel 20 in the Tri-Cities.
Charter Communications, which broadcasted last season's home playoff games, will begin its broadcasting schedule with the team's home opener on Friday night. Each Charter broadcast will include live game coverage, play-by-play coverage, live statistical updates and interviews with players and coaches.
"We are excited to continue our partnership with the Tri-City Storm for the upcoming 2004-2005 season. The Storm is a source of great entertainment and pride for central Nebraska and we are pleased to be associated with the organization," said Charter Communications advertising sales manager, Jeff Long.
The broadcast schedule, which is listed below, will be available on Charter channel 20 throughout the Tri-City's of Kearney, Grand Island and Hastings. Other broadcast channels include channel 8 in Lexington, channel 7 in North Platte and channel 15 in Ogallala.
"We are excited about this aspect of the partnership that was started during the playoffs last season. The Charter broadcasts reach a large percentage of our fan base we attempt to reach and it enhances the visibility of our form of sports entertainment," said Storm vice president of operations, Greg Shea.
