Kitchener, ON: Despite outshooting the Storm 36-35 this afternoon the Rangers came up short on the score sheet falling 4-1 before a crowd of 6,102.

The Storm took advantage of the game early on building up a 2-0 lead after the opening twenty minutes on goals by Kevin Klein (2) and Martin St. Pierre (32).

Michael Richards got the Rangers back into the game with his 21st of the season just :57 seconds into the second period to make it 2-1. The Storm responded with two additional goals by Jakub Koreis (7) and Matt Ryan (28) to close out the period to extend their lead to 4-1.

The third period came and went without any goals being scored. For the period each team had nine shots on goal while the Rangers held a slim advantage on the shots for the game at 36-35.

The Rangers next home game is Friday, February 6th vs the Belleville Bulls. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Rangers travel to Oshawa for a 2:05 p.m. game tomorrow afternoon.

Game Notes: The Rangers were 0/5 with the man advantage...the Storm were 2/5 on the power play...the Rangers outshot the Storm 36-35...Matt Lashoff was named the games 2nd star...David Clarkson had 14 PIM's in the game...Cam Janssen picked up 12 PIM's for the Storm...the Storm's Adam Dennis was the games 1st star stopping 35 shots...Michael Richards added his 21st goal of the season...the Rangers have now lost 2 in a row...the Storm are 9-1-0 in their past 10 games...with the win the Storm lead the London Knights by 1 point for top spot in the OHL...Martin St.Pierre's 32nd goal of the season is good for second most in the league...the Rangers face the Oshawa Generals tomorrow afternoon...the Generals have won 5 in a row.
