STORM Get a Little Breathing Room

(Summerside, PE) The Summerside STORM rode the 3 point shooting of Chris Cayole and a couple of double-doubles from Antonio Ballard and Brandon Robinson to grab a little breathing room atop the tough Atlantic Division of the NBL with a 114-97 win over the Saint John Mill Rats Friday night at Harbour Station in Saint John.

Cayole shot 6-7 from the 3 point line tonight to score 23 points while Ballard had 23 points and 18 rebounds with Robinson scoring 22 and grabbing 10 rebounds. Jerice Crouch of Saint John led all scorers with 28 points in a losing cause.

The Storm moves to 12-9 on the season, good for first place in the division by themselves, with their next action coming up in Moncton against the Miracles this Sunday afternoon at the Coliseum.

Meanwhile, the STORM have a number of community visits coming up starting with tomorrow from 1-3pm when they visit Summerside Intermediate School for their Hoopfest. Other community visits coming up this week include:

* Summerside Sting vs Charlottetown Tigers Mini Boys at 7:30pm at Birchwood School

* Gulf Shore School in Rustico 9-10:30am

Sat Jan 12

* Cornwall Minor Basketball Jamboree 11-12 noon

* Confederation City Classic High School Tournament 12:30-1:30pm at Charlottetown Rural
