
Power Gets Great Local Support on Fan Appreciation Night, But Loses to London Lightning 100-87

(OSHAWA, ON) Durham's team the Oshawa Power lose a tough one to their 401 rivals the London Lightning 100 - 87.
The Power started off the game with great energy in front of their best and more energetic crowd of the season, giving the league's best team all they could handle in the first 30 minutes of the game. The Power headed to half down only by four points 50 - 46.
A London surge in the third quarter gave them all they needed to sneak away with another victory improving their record to a league best 17 - 2.
Nick Okorie had a game-high 24 points and added 6 assists. Jaushay Rockett was once again the emotional leader netting 22 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Mark Gomillia added 14 points.
Adrian Moss led the way for London with 20 points and 6 assists. The Power will now head on the road to Montreal and take on the Jazz on Sunday January 6, 2013. Tip-off is set 7:00 p.m.
Thursday was Fan Appreciation night in Oshawa, tickets were FREE thanks to Rogers a proud sponsor of the Oshawa Power and the National Basketball League of Canada.
Durham Region came out and showed tremendous support for the Oshawa Power and the community by donating large quantities of non-perishable food items and gently used winter coats. The Oshawa Power organization will donate these items to the Salvation Army.
